DVAR EMET MESSIANIC SYNAGOGUE AND FIRST CHURCH UNITE IN WORSHIP
JOINT WORSHIP SERVICE WITH Dvar Emet Messianic Synagogue. Our worship with our Brothers and Sisters in Messiah Jesus was an outstanding event. The worship combined both traditions from First Church and Dvar Emet Messianic Synagogue. Youth from Dvar Emet led the congregation in praise songs from the Jewish traditions, the Rabbi preached a great sermon from the Book of Romans on Justification by Faith in Messiah Jesus and the need to tell others within the Jewish community of the good news of Messiah. Pastor Dean reminded the congregation that the Church need to remeber that faithfulness to the Gospel means integrity in serving God in word and deed. he also reminded them that our untied faith with Jewish Messianic Believers was important and joined us in Messiah as one body though different in worship expression. The service included First Churches Choir which presented a great Thanksgiving Anthem. The service was followed by a reception dinner at which time both Pastor Dean and Rabbi Glibee were asked questions regarding Jewish Messianism. All in all the event was awesome! Many from First Church will plan another Visit to Skokie to worship with our Brothers and Sisters in Messiah Jesus at Dvar Emet Messianic Synagogue. First Church and Dvar Emeth have held four events together thus far and we pray we shall continue this wonderful relationship for a long time. Pray for Israel and the Jewish people who are beloved of God !!!
